Jenny Sparrow’s Emergency Fund
On the morning of Sunday, December 13, my mom was the victim of a horrific assault, leaving her with physical wounds that leave her in hospital for at least a week, and emotional wounds that will last a lifetime.
Jenny has spent her life giving back to others and the community, by volunteering at schools, running a girl guide troop, hosting fundraisers and free classes for kids. She’s volunteered hundreds, or even thousands of hours into different thrift stores and charities, and I feel that it’s time that she gets something back for this.
at this time, nobody is sure how long she will be off work for, and because of this, we’re looking for donations to help ease the financial and emotional strain this will put on her. This money will be going to pay for any of her household bills, and aftercare and/or mental health care that wouldn’t be covered by benefits, to allow her to focus more on healing than how she’ll keep a roof over her head.
