Jenny Gunn's Housing Crisis

Hello, everyone,

I hope this message finds you well. My name is Jenny Gunn and I'm reaching out to you with a heavy heart and a plea for help. I am a transgender individual who has dedicated my life to supporting and uplifting our transgender community in Charlotte, NC. I have been an active member of our community, tirelessly volunteering for LGBTQ+ organizations, participating in Pride events, and serving on various committees and boards that advocate for our rights and well-being.

Despite my unwavering commitment to the transgender community, I find myself in an incredibly challenging situation. Recently, I discovered some severe issues with the living conditions in my apartment. I noticed mold infestations, water leakages, and multiple appliance failures that have put my health and safety at risk. It was my duty to report these issues to my landlord, and in doing so, I faced unexpected consequences.

Shortly after bringing these concerns to light, I was served with an eviction notice, which has left me in a state of turmoil. My fight for safe and habitable living conditions has come at a significant personal cost. Additionally, I have lost my primary source of income as a driver due to unforeseen circumstances, making it even more challenging to keep up with my bills and make ends meet.

I never expected that standing up for what is right would lead to such dire consequences, but I refuse to back down. I believe in the power of community support and solidarity, which is why I am humbly asking for your assistance during this difficult time. Your donations will go towards:

- **Relocation Costs:** So I can secure a safe and mold-free place to live.

- **Basic Living Expenses:** To cover bills, groceries, and essential needs during this financial crisis.
