Jennifer Bertles-Torres & Family
Donation protected
On Monday, August 10, 2020 my sister left us after over 20 years of battling with bipolar and drug addiction. Jennifer sought counseling for years trying to fight off the demons that were within her; everyday was a struggle. It is now, that my sister has found peace.
Unfortunately, Jennifer did not have life insurance. My father, Kenneth E. Bertles, Jr. who is 73 years-old and retired will now be caring for her three children, Angelina, Michael and Gabriel in addition to his son Kenneth E. Bertles, III. My brother is 38-years-old and has down's syndrome. My father's funds are extremely limited. The money raised will go towards the funeral expenses, as well as, the cost of living (housing, food, medical) and future educational cost involved with raising three kids. My father will be handling services within the next two weeks.
Gabriel, the oldest, is 18 and attending college at Salem County Community College. Gabe is going on his sophomore year. Angelina and Michael are twins and they are juniors in high school. All monies raised will go directly to my father.
I am trying to save the kids from foster care and hope to raise enough funds for my father to continue to let them live with the family that loves them. In a surrounding that is safe.
Given the circumstances and what the consequences may be if we don't help; we are turning to all of you who know Jennifer and would be willing to provide support and assistance.
I cannot thank you enough for taking the time to read Jen's story. Any contribution is appreciated, as well as, your prayers.
With Love,
Alycia (Jen's Sister)
