Dear Family and Friends,
In a few months I will be heading to Copan, Honduras to participate in a mission trip with the Rice Foundation. Our team will be going to Honduras to provide medical care, construction and outreach to children and orphanages in the local villages. I am extremely excited that God has given me a spark to be a part of this team. Our church has partnered with the Rice Foundation for several years and trips like ours have provided care, laughter, joy, hope and faith to many people in need.
Preparing for this trip is a significant commitment that will include several training days and numerous hours of preparation beforehand. It is a huge step of faith for many of us, as we enter a foreign culture and leave behind many of our daily comforts to serve those in need. This adventure will stretch and challenge each of us in our faith and relationships like never before.
That said, our team will need lots of prayer support. Having a group of people who are commited to pray for the safety, health and overall ministry of our team is huge. If you are interested in being a part of our prayer team and would like to receive updates during and after the trip, please let me know.
In addition to prayer support, I also need people who will partner with me through financial support to help cover the cost of this trip. My goal is to raise $2,500. Any money I raise above my goal will go towards medical supplies, construction supplies or other needs in Honduras.
I am humbled to have this opportunity to use my skills as a nurse and my heart as a Christian to serve others in such an impactful way. Thanks for your consideration, prayers and support!
