As so many of you know, it’s been my dream to go to law school and pursue a career in international affairs for 7 years now. Integral to that dream is studying in Boston--the epicenter of international affairs studies. The Fletcher School, namely, is a premier school for studying international affairs and to be accepted is a remarkable honor. I am so grateful.
My dream is to complete the joint MA/JD degree program between The Fletcher School and Harvard's Law School. Through Fletcher, I’ll receive my Master of Art in Law and Diplomacy and through Harvard, my law degree. With my acceptance into Fletcher, I'm ecstatic to say I am one step closer to that goal!
Every year since 2007, I’ve unwaveringly perused this dream. Since graduating college in 2010, I’ve done everything I can to prepare myself for this very moment. I visited the schools, and sat in on classes; I’ve taken classes through my local college to strengthen my skills and stay sharp; I’ve studied on my own to stay abreast of international issues; and I’ve remained careful of my spending all toward the goal of getting accepted into this program and moving to Boston one day.
And now, here I am. I'm so close to the very thing I've dedicated myself to these past seven years. This is a big dream and by no means can I scale it alone. Please help me bridge the financial gap by gifting whatever you can towards my Fletcher tuition. Tuition is $43,000 per year. I’ve already secured a renewable scholarship for $6,000 and qualified for a student loan of $20,500. However,I want to avoid accumulating debt as much as possible so I'm most certainly doing what I can to cover the rest by applying for outside scholarships and grants. As you can see, I have a long way to go! ☺ Please know that any and all contributions are greatly appreciated!
