Jellybean thinks she’s a big dog.
But she’s just a little baby. She’s our (almost) 4 month old Chihuahua. She’s full of energy and spunk. She’s a total nut, but the sweetest little girl in the whole world. At just a mere 3 lbs, she’s very fragile.
Today as she was feeling exceptionally confident, as usual, she decided to launch herself off the couch, jumping after her big brother, Otis. She landed on one arm and it snapped. We were hoping it was a sprain or something, but we rushed her down to Palm Springs as our vet couldn’t take her today, and they confirmed it was a break.
They gave us the option of doing a splint for $2500-$2800 or putting a plate in for $4500-$5000. And that’s if this all goes well and heals ok. (Fingers crossed!!! ) As Tim and I are in our “back to school” phase, this is way beyond what we have.
As hard as it is to ask friends for help, we are in a position where we don’t know what else to do. So it is with so much love for our friends and our girl, that we ask for your help. Anything at all will help. We will be forever in debted to you.
