HELP SAVE OUR CHURCH CAMPAIGN

Jehovah Baptist Church must raise this money to pay off the creditors or face foreclosure. The money must be raised in 33 days. Funds received will be used to pay off church mortgage. If not raised in time, we will use the funds to jumpstart a relocation. We are soliciting the help of the church family, friends and the community to give to this cause.  With your help, we can prevail over the attacks of the enemy and shift our focus from surviving to outreach and ministry! Jehovah Baptist Church built a new structure and relocated to the  Greenview Community in October 1995 from Gregg St. Our church will turn 100 years old March 2018. Pastor Stanley Marshall has been the Pastor of the church since August 1981 and has served the church faithfully for 36 years. We have fallen on hard times as a church. Many of our church leaders have passed who were strong supporters, first spiritually and financially. Our current members are working hard in support of the church but have not been able to sustain the giving needed to keep the doors open. We were working on a plan to raise funds to pay off the loan in 2018, but because we fell behind in a few payments, the loan was called early.  Jehovah Baptist Church has had to overcome many obstacles in the last few years. We were without our Pastor for 6 months in 2015 due to a back injury. Pastor's Surgery landed him in ICU with no guarantee of Survival but the church prayed and rejoiced when he made it through! The Devil got angry and attacked again. Shortly after his release from the hospital, we lost the Chairman of our Deacon Board to illness and soon after our Pastor was diagnosed with Cancer. 2016 comes and Pastor could not have surgery for cancer right away because the doctors found an Aortic Aneurysm to his heart that required open heart Surgery. Pastor and the Church Rebuked it and through a second opinion, his Aneurysm disappeared. Pastor Marshall was then cleared to proceed with Cancer Surgery. After missing another 6 months with multiple operations Our Pastor was delivered from cancer with no radiation or chemo and remains cancer free today! In Pastor’s absence, the church continued to suffer financially and membership continued to decline due to illness, death, and more. We don’t believe God brought us this far to turn around now. We pursued every option including bankruptcy. Through legal counsel, we were advised that we were ineligible. So we are faced with this only option, which is sometimes the hardest, asking for help. Call to Action The bible says “...you have not, because you ask not.” (James 4:2 (NKJV)). So we are asking God to touch the hearts of everyone who reads this. Donate to this cause. No donation is too small. “Give, and you will receive. Your gift will return to you in full—pressed down, shaken together to make room for more..” (Luke 6:38).
