Special Olympics Coach Badly Burned

This is about Jeff Pasket, loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and Special Olypmics Coach and advocate. Last October, Jeff was playing in the back yard with his grandchildren. After play, he decided to mow the lawn. While opening the gas can to fill the mower, the gas expolded, covering him with flaming gasoline. He was able to somhow protect his grandson but could not manage to extinguish the flames that were consuming him.  His wife was able to come to his rescue but not before he sustained 3rd and 4th degree burns over 40% of his torso, arms, neck and face. Even on the way to the hospital, his skin reignited in the ambulance. He spent the next 5 1/2 weeks in the burn unit at Regions Hospital. Since then Jeff has endured unimaginable suffering and pain, having multiple surgeries and skin grafts. He has a long way to go and a lot of healing to do.
