This GoFundMe is to help support the ongoing needs of Kristina Jones and her three sons after the passing of her husband, Jeff. Jeff went missing on Friday January 13, 2023 and was later found deceased at a local Hamilton park where he was most likely taking photos of the landscape. It was determined by the coroner that Jeff had a very sudden heart attack.
All money raised up to this point has been used to give Kristina the financial support she needs to get through the immediate shock of Jeff's death. These have included helping with funeral costs and helping with living and travel expenses and we are all so thankful for the community wrapping around this family.
But, Kristina is needing more time and more support. Kristina has been a dedicated social worker for 20 years with a commitment to working with foster children and families. She is currently working in a position with Wendy’s Wonderful Kids helping to find adoptive placements for harder to place youths. It has been hard to prioritize and care for her three children due to travel demands and needing to work evenings at times. She doesn’t have any family in town so it is a lot to find childcare. They adopted their three boys from foster care, they have been stable but are needing some extra support right now due to experiencing the trauma of Jeff’s sudden disappearance and death. Considering the fact that Jeff was recently a full-time student with part time work only, this leaves Kristina’s income as the primary income for their family.
It has become apparent that Kristina needs more financial support to get through this time of loss. Jeff was a full-time student working towards a degree and was a year and half away from graduating. They were already juggling a single income because of this. Jeff had been involved in various ministries before starting school to begin a career in graphic design. Let's surround Kristina and her boys during this horrendous time and help get them through this. Thank you!
