Jeff and Nichole Tarter Fund

This is for my sister and her husband Jeff. Jeff has been battling colon cancer for almost 3 years and it is starting to win despite their best efforts. There isn't a person that I know that doesn't love Jeff. He would spend his only free weekend in the month helping someone with a project or welding something custom for you. He is so talented! I've continuously looked up to him as a brother, even though he came into my life a little later on.  Nichole is the same....always looking for ways to get involved and help. They gave back to the community selfishly. Ridiculous Halloween and Christmas displays! Their neighborhood would never be the same without them.

Well, I debated whether to post this on social media, because I am pretty protective of our personal lives, but I think it's necessary at this point, because I don't want to miss anyone that is important to me or Jeff, but especially him. We are at the er today because Jeff has been in horrible pain, so they ran scans and it's his cancer progression causing his pain and not his recent emergency surgery, unfortunately. They are wanting to admit him to get his pain under control, and then send us home with whatever works to keep him comfortable at home. We will be talking to a care team to figure out the best treatment at this point. He is not doing well though, so it is going to be trying to keep him as comfortable as possible once we go home. Please contact me (by text please) and not him at this point because he is very confused and having memory problems. I am crushed that we are at this stage. If you would like to come visit once we are home you are all welcome to. I want to thank everyone in advance for your offers of help and food, but there is nothing we need right now and I am just trying to hold my shit together the best I can right now, but just know we appreciate you all! The current updated as of this week isn't as positive. Please give something. Your next meal out or frivolous Amazon order, we all know we have them.  : )   These are people that need help and not "Stuff". They have sent my three daughters meaningful gifts for birthdays and Christmas every year. Give up a little more....it's only money for us...it's the time for them. Thank you. ❤️

Those that know Jeff and Nichole, know they have been pretty private about these struggles they have been dealing with.   I initially set this GoFundMe up without telling her, but I'm considering it a sort-of payback for her picking me and my fiancé up from the airport with a "Welcome Home. Congrats on your early Parole!!" sign taped to the side of her van.  LOL.  She had even added lights to it...everyone was cracking up, including the other random people standing around us being picked up from the airport.    Even in these tough times, she is still doing her best to put a smile on everyone's face.  They really need our help right now.  Give what you can.  Prayers are needed.  Thank you so much!
