Jeannie Hutter is a beloved educator currently teaching in the Eastern Independence area. She has spent the last 20 years teaching Speach and Theater, helping introduce hundreds of kids to the beauty of live theater. Prior to teaching Speach and Theater Jeannie taught mathematics in the inner city. In 2013 Jeannie was diagnosed with Granulomatosis with polyangiitis, an uncommon autoimmune disorder that causes inflammation of the blood vessels in the nose, sinuses, throat, lungs, and kidneys. Formerly called Wegener's granulomatosis, this condition causes decreased blood flow to various organs. On 12/01/2021 Jeannie tested positive for COVID-19, despite being full vaccinated. Jeannie is currently hospitalized and unable to work. Jeannie is one of the most selfless individuals I have had the pleasure of meeting, she has helped so many students and their families over the last 20 plus years. It is now our turn to help Jeannie. All funds raised will go to help Jeannie cover medical bills and expenses.
