Jeanne's Leukemia Fundraiser

This all began out of the blue in early may of this year when Jeanne, mother of three had developed a persistant cough and light fatigue. Thinking it was just her asmtha kicking up with the weather, we promptly went to the doctors, had an inhaler prescribed, and went on our merry way. Days turned into weeks, and on Saturday, May 13th, the day before mothers day, she was rushed to the ER barely able to speak or stand. 24 hours and 5 units of blood later, we got the OK to return home and get some rest, with the diagnosis being a case of severe anemia. A few days later we got a call with the results of the blood tests they preformed on her while she was admitted. They had found some cells looking and behaving strangely, so the results were going to be further studied on at the City Of Hope.

We got an appointment to talk to a doctor there, and on July 5th, my fathers birthday, we got the news that she was diagnosed with AML Leukemia. She was admitted to the City of Hope the very next day, and is still in the hospital as I am typing this. We are expecting to be here for over a month with intensive chemotherapy, a few weeks at home, then another month or more for another round of  chemotherapy and her bone marrow transplant. After she is all done with this, she will also need repeat visits to the doctors, along with physical therapy to bring her back up to health.

Any funds would be deeply appreciated by her entire family for helping us pay for her medical bills and for the treatment she will need for the next few months.
