Jeanette's Leukemia Fight Fund

Donation protected
Jeanette McMullin needs our help. She has provided exceptional childcare to our community for more than 30 years. Now, she is battling cancer for the second time. She has successfully undergone chemotherapy for her leukemia. But without the next phase of treatment, there is an 88% chance of reoccurrence.

She needs a stem cell transplant, after which she will be obligated to stay at the Princess Margaret Manor for 100 days to be close to the hospital. This stay will not be covered under any health care plan and will cost the family significantly.

From December to March, her husband Norm stepped in to Jeanette’s shoes to run her home daycare business, while also trying to maintain his job at Home Hardware in Georgetown. But after fighting his own cancer battle a few years ago, he no longer has the energy to sustain both jobs.

As the saying goes “It takes a village to raise a child.” Sometimes it takes a village to help an amazing daycare provider. Let’s gather this village to support Jeanette and her family during this trying time.

All contributions to this fund are welcomed and so greatly appreciated. If you are able to contribute or help out the family in any other way, please contact her daughter Courtney.
