Jean-Claude’s Funeral Fund

Donation protected
With a heavy heart, we must say goodbye to our beloved brother and friend, Jean-Claude (JC) Rugamba. Kibonge, as some of you know him by, unexpectedly passed away on September 12, 2018; he was only 20 years old. The sudden death of Jean-Claude, a young, bright, and pure hearted individual has left anyone who was blessed enough to have known him in complete dismay. His untimely death has certainly left us all in a state of shock and profound grief. JC had a life riddled with difficulty and struggles but he always managed to pull through the tough times. Even when his dreams of becoming a football player got shattered after he got stabbed, JC still found a way to shine through and set his sights on giving back to his community by helping entrenched young boys. Jean Claude was a continuous source of warmth and radiance for many of us, and the extinguishment of his flame has been very heartbreaking for us all.

Jean-Claude leaves behind two loving parents, and seven siblings. Unfortunately, large funeral expenses often times can add to the stresses of losing a cherished family member, and it is even more so the case as Jean-Claude’s parents are both unemployed and will have a difficult time affording the hefty funeral expenses. I am touched by the numerous amounts of messages we have received from people asking how they can help with this unfortunate incident. I am creating this campaign as a way to keep everyone up to date with plans and as a platform to raise money to cover the cost of funeral expenses, so Jean Claude’s family can properly mourn the loss of their loved one, without the added stress of funeral expenses hanging over their heads. Often times we talk about how we desire to make a positive impact on the lives of others, and when opportunity presents itself to put forward positive energy into this world we often neglect that opportunity. I ask that if you do have a means to donate that you please do. Collectively, we can all make a large, positive impact and lessen the traumatic and stressful blow on the family of Jean Claude’s untimely death by raising as much as we can. If you are not able to donate, please feel free to add comments and memories you shared with Jean-Claude or reach out to his family with positive and comforting messages. Thank you.
