A Family In Need

I just want to start by saying thank you for taking the time to read my story. My name is Taylor Broussard. I am 24 years old, a newlywed, and a mother of two. On July 17th my husband and I were blessed with our second son, Beausoleil Broussard. Shortly after his arrival, on October 30th, our newborn was taken to the hospital. I feared he was having seizures and unfortunately I was right. He was diagnosed with something called PHACES syndrome; an acronym that refers to a group of abnormal medical findings in infants. My sons malformation is arterial lesions, which is basically an undeveloped blood vessel. This condition causes strokes and seizures because the brain is unable to get enough blood and oxygen. He's had a total of 3 strokes that we know of, and countless seizures. Not only is this hard on my family emotionally it's really taken a tole on us financially. We've been in out of the hospital for the last 3 months and our journey is not over yet. Beau (Bo) is scheduled for brain surgery on January 12th. We are not asking for hefty donations. The number above is a goal but not a demand. We understand that times may be tough for you too so what we are asking is that you at least share this post. Every dollar helps. We have a long road ahead after surgery and we appreciate all the help we can get.
