Jessica Simone Memorial Fund

Donation protected
It is with extreme sadness that we announce the passing of Jessica Simone. Our family is heartbroken. Jessica was a wonderful mother, daughter, sister, and a shining light to everyone who knew her. She touched the lives of so many and it is our turn to give back to her family in their time of need. We are raising money to cover the costs of the funeral and memorial services for Jessica's family as this passing was completely unexpected. Any excess money will be donated to her son Josiah's future care and education.

Jessica L. Simone, 35, of Worcester, was taken from us too soon on Sunday, October 10th, 2021 at UMass Hospital after injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

Jessica was born on September 26th 1986 in Worcester, Masschusettes. She was a graduate of North High School Class of 2004. Jessica was pursuing a career as a radiology technician at Quinsigamond Community College and would have been a graduate in May of 2022. She worked as a hairstylist for 15 years at the Hair Cuttery, most recently know as Unity Salon.

Jessica was a blessing to her whole family especially her son. She was a great mother who enjoyed doing anything and everything with him. Jessica was creative, feisty at times, loved reading, dancing and getting together with her large Italian family. Jessica leaves behind her beloved son, Josiah Diaz, and his father Luis Diaz; Her mother Mary Jane Simone, her brother Max Simone and his wife Paula Alves, her maternal grandparents Bartolomeo and Winifred Simone; three aunts, Gina Tangney and her husband Brian, Linda Lawton and her husband Tommy, and Christina Chionchio; Her uncle Tommie Simone and his wife Kim; two nieces and a nephew Victoria, Alexie and Liam. Her beloved dog "Roman"; several close cousins, friends and extended family members. Jessica is predeceased by her father Kevin Harkins.

Relatives and friends are invited to a period of calling hours on Friday, Oct 15th, 2021 from 4-7pm in the Mercadante Funderal Home and Chapel, 370 Plantation street Worcester, Massachusetts. Her funeral mass will be held on Saturday, October 16th at 10am in Our Lady of Providence - St. Bernard's Church, 228 Lincoln St. Worcester. Burial will follow in St. John's cemetery.
