Great Expeditions Trip for Honors

Hello Everyone,
Last spring, my wonderful advisor suggested I apply for the Honors College at Montana State University where I attend. I would be going into my Junior year, but I thought "why not?" I was accepted a few months later and was suddenly presented with some incredible opportunities. One of these opportunities is called Great Expeditions. During the 2015 spring semester, I, along with several other honors students, will meet once a week in a 3-credit course where we will examine the culture, history, and society of Greece and Italy through literature such as The Iliad and The Odyssey. At the conclusion of the semester we will present research we have done on a specific piece of history or culture that interests us. Following this we will take a trip to Greece and Italy for two weeks where our hard work over the semester will come to life. We will conclude the course with an essay tying together our research and our experience.
This is a once in a lifetime opportunity that I never thought I would have the chance to participate in. The entire trip is $5000. I have received a generous scholarship from the Honors College and, as a class we will be putting on a fundraiser to raise money for the students going on the trip. However, it will not cover the entire cost. I am concerned I will not be able to raise enough to go. I am doing what I can to earn money towards this amazing opportunity. Any assistance you can give will be greatly appreciated. Please also feel free to share my story with others who you think might be willing to help me achieve my goal.
