Living Testimony

MS native Keveona is a independent, loving, caring, hardworking and most importantly single mother of 4. Keve has done all she could to ensure her children never needed for anything. On her journey to becoming the woman she is, she faced many hardships and some victories. Ultimately she found something she truly enjoyed, long haul trucking.  She was excited she found her passion and that her goals were finally aligning in a place where she saw her hard work paying off.

However, on Wednesday Oct. 28 2020, everything in her life was drastically changed. She became the victim of a random shooting only blocks from her home. She was shot at 30 times but only hit 3  (But God ). If it wasn’t for the store’s manager assistance she may have lost a lot of blood and the unimaginable may have happened. (!!!)  Blessed and covered in God’s protection she only sustained injuries to her leg with the bullet being only inches from her frontal artery. Knee blown off, femur shattered, and sadly dreams crushed.  She was Thankful and so are we that what could have been a tragic ending turned around as favor from a higher power. She is the most God fearing & faithful woman but sadly broken and discouraged from the events that have taken place. Feeling that her dreams as a long term trucker are over, she cries daily and wonders what’s next. With a long road ahead of mental and physical healing as well as several more surgeries to come we are asking for help with assistance with the oncoming bills and kids that only have her to look up to. Any dollar amount will help to assist a innocent mother that became a victim of gun violence in the Memphis area. (An area where a MSpian saw as solace  has now become her fear.)
