Do you want to join us in making a difference? We are an independent small charity relying on funds raised by our events, collections and donations.

Saffron Walden Mencap Society has, in recent years, been given a new lease of life with the commencement of its Side by Side Club. Following its huge success, five years on, the Society is ready to move forward and develop more activities for local individuals with learning disabilities.

Our newest project, Dig-It Club, meets every Wednesday morning at Crocus Fields in Saffron Walden. Our project, Go With Our Flow for 16-25 year olds, will be launching soon. We also run a number of events throughout the year for members such as our popular canal boat trips, evening theatre outings, themed discos and parties to name just a few.
