Dogs Out of Time, Shelter Closing

We are trying to save as many dogs as we can from BJC Animal Control in Alabama, a shelter that we have had a long standing relationship with.  Sadly, BJC is closing. We have committed to 4 dogs but we are trying to save more. Any dogs that are left when the shelter closes have no where to go. We started with a Rottie, and you can all probably guess how the story goes.... We saw others that we couldn't leave behind and there are still more there that we are working on. We have committed to 4, however, we can help more if we can raise money for boarding and vetting. The dogs all have foster homes in NY but they have to be quarantined for 10 days in AL prior to transporting across state lines. They will be quarantined at a vet hospital at $18 per day, per dog. At least one of the dogs is heartworm positive and the Rottie has a fresh gunshot wound which will need to be treated.  We have more people who have offered to foster if we can raise the money to vet and board these dogs.  For once, foster homes are not our biggest obstacle. We also have 3 Rottie street pups arriving in January with their mother.  Again, it started with a call about a Rottie pup living on the street.  We agreed to take him and then 1 pup turned into 3 pups, plus a mom, who we obviously couldn't leave behind. There are so many in need and we realize that 7 dogs is just a drop in the bucket.  We would love to be able to save at least 3 or 4 more from the shelter before it closes.  Thank you in advance for your willingness to help these helpless animals.  Remember that all donations are tax deductible.
