As many of you know Stella Dumas has been battling Cancer and she now needs your help!

Stella has dedicated her life helping others. Particularly the youth! She served at UCO for 10 years and has been apart of Guthrie Public Schools for the last 15 years. Many know her as Mrs Dumas. She was like a second mom to most. She loved working with the kids and she did everything In her power to make sure they never went without. Stella Dumas is a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She is the most selfless, caring, and deserving human being you could ever meet.

In August of 2019 Stella was diagnosed with Stage 4 Colon Cancer. Unfortunately by time they caught it the cancer had spread to her kidneys and her liver. She was able to start her chemo in October of 2019. Unfortunately May of 2020 we got the news the chemo wasn’t working anymore. Beginning in June 2020 they were able to try a second chemo but in July 2020 Stella had developed an infection in her bloodstream that took her out for a week. She’s never fully been able to recover from this infection. October 2020 Stella went into the hospital and underwent a surgery on her liver. Unfortunately the doctors said they’ve done all they could do for her. Stella needs to get back on her chemo treatments as the cancer has started to spread again. The family was able to get her into the Stevenson Cancer Institute in Oklahoma City. The Doctors there said they are hopeful they can help Stella. They want to put her on medications that will help her regain her strength so that they can start the chemo. During this time Stella has lost insurance and nothing from here will be covered. The family is asking for donations to help the cost of Stella’s medications, chemo treatments, and Dr appointments.
