Fund For Kirin

Dear Friends,




Greetings and Happy New Year to the community of Hudson, Hawthorne Valley and beyond!

This is a call to step forward and help support and accompany our friend, Kirin Buckley as she proceeds with her healing. 

We, the under-signed, may or may not be known to you. You may know one or all of us; or none. Yet, if you have received this letter, then we have at least one thing in common. We all know, love and are grateful to have Kirin in our lives. 

Which means you may know she was diagnosed with breast cancer this past Autumn, just a few fleeting months ago. 

Kirin has fearlessly chosen a deliberate and conscious path towards wellness. She has truly taken up the mantle of gratitude and growth for this experience. Using both conventional medical action and therapies from a broader spectrum of healing, she has been developing/following a very individual and personal plan she and her team of diverse healers have put together (though this is always evolving with time and information). 

With this comes bills not covered by insurance. There is also the daily fatigue and vulnerability which is a part of this body and spirit process. Economic pressures are a lot to imagine/deal with in the best of times; unimaginable when unwell. We send this request for your awareness and support, with the hope and goal to alleviate this burden. 

Together, with one shining commonality; our love and warmth for Kirin and her amazing family, we can do this. 

If you are reading this, you may also know that Kirin is private and intimate with her personal life. We ask that this is kept in mind with the tender sharing of this beacon for support. But, please, DO share this with friends and family who would very much wish to be a part of this endeavor. 

We all have so much to offer: a massage, gift certificates for groceries, picking up/ dropping off children to/from school, making dinner, home chores, medical transport... etc. All beautiful, beneficial and welcome. 

Realistically though, monetary contributions are especially needed now. 

Any amount that you are able to contribute is very welcome. Many small gifts can amount to a considerable offering. We are aiming to financial cover Kirin’s expenses for this coming year. This means having her family budget covered, (the basics of a household of 4), extra assistance, (wellness coach, medical transports...), uninsured medical procedures/ therapies (various types of massage, acupuncture...). 

We know what a small amount of people can do when we come together. This is a gift for us as a community to step forward and help.  We are often at a loss to know what is being asked of each of us individually when we find ourselves meeting illness, in ourselves and/or another. But now, in this moment we do know, we will come together and lift this with love and light. 

So, please contribute monetarily if you can; or in any other way you are able. Thank you so much for your consideration and help.

With this pebble, we humbly toss in to still waters.......may it ripple.
