Deborah’s Urgent Medical Expenses

I’m raising money for my mom so she can have the urgent proton radiation therapy that she needs, that insurance will cover non of, to stop the growth of a brain tumor. On July 25,2018 my mother ended up in the hospital with what we thought was just dehydration and maybe and infection but when we explained to the doctor the events of the night before he ordered a CT of her head ( the night before she got lost trying to pick up my dad from the airport and ended up west of weatherford and after trying to make it back home she never did and ended up driving till she ran out of gas around my house in McKinney) when we got the CT scan back my mom was diagnosed with an 8cm tumor on her brain, the biggest the doctors had ever seen. On August 1 she had major surgery to remove the tumor. They were able to remove most of it but while in ICU she fractured her back adding to her pain and healing process. After weeks in the hospital she was able to come home but she still has a long road to recovery. The main reason I’m starting this is because as you can imagine her medical bills are very high, she also will have to have radiation therapy to kill a portion of the tumor left behind. Unfortunately the type of radiation that would be best for her the insurance company won’t cover at all and the treatment is about 60,000. If you could find it in your heart to donate any amount we would be grateful, my family has been on a crazy roller coaster this year and anything would help.
