Anny's Medical Trip to Vietnam

Hi, my name is Anh Tuc Anny Ho. I am a second year student at the University of California, Santa Cruz pursuing a major in Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology. I was born in Saigon, Vietnam but shortly moved to San Francisco, California at a young age. I had the opportunity to visit my homeland when I was seven. There, I learned about the fortunes and privileges I had been blessed with upon seeing children my age opting out of school due to poverty or disease. I then made a promise to return to Vietnam to help the children and communities rid of the barriers they face. I have found the perfect program to help me fulfill this promise in which I am able to provide direct patient care to the poor in Cao Bang, Vietnam.

Good Samaritan Medical-Dental Ministry (GSMDM) is a unique non-profit program dedicated to improving the lives of the war-sticken country, Vietnam. By participating in this program, I will become empowered to help GSMDM continue it's mission to provide primary healthcare to the people in Vietnam. With your help and support, only then will I have the opportunity to work with medical professionals and other volunteers to serve the poor and share the love I have been blessed with. Although it is a volunteer program, I am responsible for all transportation and other expenses, including:

Round-trip airfare to Vietnam (up to $1600)
Medical Assistant training (up to $400)

Total needed to make promise possible: $2,000

Why Fund Me? Since my visit to Vietnam, I have dreamt of returning to my homeland to better the community and although I have the heart to do so, I do not have the financial means. My mother is not in a position to fund this trip and therefore I cannot participate in this program without your help.
