Medical Expenses - Eden Family

Donation protected

Christmas is proving to be especially challenging for my family over the last few years.  This year, my family has spent the last week praying over my beautiful sister, Marta Eden,  Instead of celebrating Christmas at home with her family, she has been in  the ICU in a Nashville area hospital.  Things were very shaky for the past 4 days and yesterday, we were given some hopeful news in regards to her health improving. She was diagnosed with a very serious case of pneumonia which was the result of the entero virus that was so deadly this past fall.  It has been a very rough week, as she is on a ventilator, and has had some further complications due to the severity of the virus.

Marta's husband, Bruce, and daughter, Jennifer, along with Jennifer's husband, Brad, have been by her side for days. The doctors are hopeful that she will only need another 3-4 days in ICU before being moved to a regular hospital room for another week or so.

This is one amazing family! If you have the pleasure of knowing them you understand how kind and generous they are.  They always step up and help people, without ever hesitating.  They work hard, they volunteer, they attend church regularly and they live as a wonderful example of community!

I could not have asked for a better husband for my sister! He has been by Marta's side non-stop since Monday. He has slept in her room and made sure that she has had 24-hour care. Their family is so loving and faith-centered, and they are putting this situation in God's hands.

Bruce is a self- employed contractor and one of the hardwest working men I have ever known.  He wants to live the American Dream and never asks for anything for himself.  Marta cares for two little girls and loves them like they are her own. They both take so much pride in their family and owning a business and they are always looking out for those less fortunate.

When people are in crisis, it is hard to know the right thing to do - well I hope you will take the opportunity to make a difference for this family.  They are being buried with more than $200,000 in medical bills, which is secondary to their concerns right now. I am asking for support for this family to show them how loved they are.  Please consider giving to help ease their burden during this crucial time.  I know it's not a great time for a lot of us financially, but it would mean so much to this family to have some support.

Bruce said he knows God will provide and his first priority is his wife and family. I hope God can work through many people to make that happen.

The generosity of a family friend brought their youngest daughter from Colorado at the last minute on Christmas Eve, something that they didn't think was possible. It is a testament to the kind of loving, caring, people they are and I know that they appreciate all of the love and prayers that they are receiving from family and friends across the country.

Please help this family, even if it's just taking a minute to say a prayer.
Thank you!
