Jay Otto - Support Fund

On Christmas Day 2020 (an already tough year for many) my brother Jay Otto had a serious Motorbike Accident while camping with our family.
Jay was Airlifted by careflight chopper to the the Gold Coast University Hospital with a broken back (2 places), 9 shattered ribs & a punctured lung, serious concusion and various other complications throughout his body. He has lost a lot of blood and is still not breathing unassisted. Jay had his first trauma surgery yesterday to block the nerves in his spine in a bid to trick his damaged lungs and ribs into breathing (without pain)
Jay's road to recovery will me months long and he still has quite a few hurdles to overcome including additional surgery & avoiding pneumonia & infection (due to his chest injuries)
In a twist of bad timing, Jay had just recently resigned from his job and was due to start work with his new employer on the 8th January. Jay will now be unemployed for months to come
Many of you will know Jay Otto as a world champion indoor Cricket player. His many tours representing Australia and captaining teams are some of his life's greatest memories; along with loving his partner Amy and 4 children Sophia, Lachlan, Montana & Zander
We are calling on Jay's friends and sporting community to help Jay and his family through this difficult time & allow him time to heal & rehabilitate without worrying about providing for his family
Thank you for your love & support X x
