Jay lost everything in a fire

UPDATE: Please know that others have been affected by this so we are raising the goal amount so that we can get as much money as we can to everyone involved, and we want to make sure they get the help they need as well. This was always my intention. His roommate Kristy and downstairs neighbours have also lost a lot and will need places to stay. We promise we will be setting aside some of the funds to them.

My name is Kelly Shee, and I've set this up to help our great friend Jay Millette. Early this morning, Jay's apartment caught fire, destroying everything in his room. He's lucky to be alive as the fire started in his bed, but he's lost his beloved cat, Maddy. As well, his roommate's two cats have also died in the fire. Jay's such an amazing, positive person, but this has been and will continue to be devastating for him. He literally has nothing left. Anyone who knows Jay, knows how avid a collector he is, from books to records to all of his memorobilia. He will need everything; clothes, shoes, phone, you name it. I know Jay has an incredible group of friends who are always there for him, and I'm really hoping you guys will come through when he needs you the most. Anything you can contribute will help Jay get back on his feet, and will mean the world to him, and me. Right now, he needs to know he's loved and cared for. Thanks so much.
