Jax, Maranda's Best Friend Needs Help!!!

 Our 2 and a half year old full blooded German Shepherd Jax was hit by a large pick up truck in front

of our family home, on a very secluded country road. He has been the best friend to our 4 yearold daughter Maranda since she was 2 years old. Jax loves Maranda and has been her protector and playmate. On July 18, 2014 Maranda let Jax out of his kennel to go potty, as she watched him from the porch, with her aunt Vicki. Our next door neighbor came down the road and Jax decided to "chase" the truck she was driving. Maranda yelled for Jax to stop, but it was too late the F250 ran him over. Maranda witnessed the whole thing, she saw Jax roll under the truck and then pull himself to the side of the road, he then drug himself back to our front yard with his front paws. Poor little Maranda was screaming and crying. Maranda's aunt is handicapped and paralyzed from the waste down.She helplessly had to hold Maranda back, and called the babysitter outside to help Maranda. My husband and I got the call from Vicki at 5:15 pm that Jax had been hit.Within minutes we arrived home to find Jax unable to stand although he tried. His right front leg had exposed bone, with chunks of skin and flesh missing. We immediately mad some calls and then rushed Jax to an emergency animal hospital. We had to pay $99.00 just for them to look at him. They immediately gave him pain medication and began xray's. The vet was worried that Jax had broken hips, and or pelvis and possibly bladder damage. After 3 hours of waiting, we were told his left hip is out of socket.His right leg/foot is broken. They told us he may have to be put to sleep if they cannot get his hip back into place and if the surgeon says his broken leg cannot heal on it's own. There is surgery that can be done to keep him alive, but the cost will be well over $5,000.00. Our bill last night was $1330.00. We cannot afford the surgery, but some friends told us to create this account and see if anyone out there can help us. If we have to put our dog down, and have to tell our little girl her best friend isnt coming home, I am afraid it would just devistate her. If you can help us we would never forget your help!
