Help Skelator singer, Jason Conde-Houston after his surgery.
He will be in the hospital for several days and is going to need a lot of help after he gets discharged. He has no health insurance, and no one has a few thousand dollars laying around to help him so we desperately need your help.
Our mom got a call from him at 1 am this on Monday (2/17). He was in a lot of abdominal pain and wanted to see if she thought he should rush to the hospital. She has a background in healthcare and from his symptoms she determined that this was real life threatening emergency. Jason’s roommate, Getsemani, rushed him to the hospital. The surgeon told us that it is a good thing he got to the hospital in time to avert a tragedy. He will have to stay in the hospital for several days with intravenous antibiotics and pain management, but in a few weeks, and with proper rehabilitation, he will be healed and get back to normal. He will only be discharged once they are sure that the infection is under control, and they know he can take oral antibiotics and pain meds.
Here’s where we need your help. Jason is living paycheck-to-paycheck, and Jason will need a lot of financial help to get him through this. Jason will not be able to return to his food service job immediately, and although he wants to get back on stage, we don’t know how soon he will be able to do so, until his doctors give him the “OK”. We need all of you, Jason’s friends, family, and fans, to support this gofundme fundraiser, so that Jason can have a full and speedy recovery.
We have set this fundraiser at $10,000, however his bills could be significantly more. We do not have an estimate yet on his hospital bills, but we imagine that the medical bills are going to be steep. Jason will also need to pay for rent and all of his regular expenses during his recovery.
