Hi, I'm Charlie Foster, from Birmingham, AL. Jason and Luke are very dear friends of mine that both lived in Birmingham.
Hurricane Irma slammed St . Thomas on last Wednesday, her driving rain and sustained windspeed of 185 m.p.h. devastating the island.
Jason and Luke thought they were prepared, but there was no way to know that Irma would become the largest storm ever recorded in the Atlantic Ocean. The storm ripped through their condo busting through walls and taking the roof off--the torrential downpour flooding the entire unit. Jason, Luke and Roxi were hunkered down in the hallway under a mattress and made it out with their lives... and little more.
THINGS CAN BE REPLACED, LIVES CAN'T.
We are so thankful that Jason and Luke's lives were spared. And it's true... things CAN be replaced, but it's going to take time... and money... Jason and Luke aren't sure about what happens next, but they are sure that they are leaving St. Thomas as soon as possible. Please consider helping them get their lives back together quickly with a donation which will be used to get back to the States and with general expenses related to rebuilding their lives state-side.
