Jason Holland's Medical Fund

Jason Holland’s family & friends are uniting to raise money to help with his medical expenses from a stroke. As most of you know, Jason suffered a stroke on January 20, 2017. Thankfully his wife, Melissa Holland miraculously came home 3 hours before she normally does in the afternoon from work, found him and brought him to Hill Country Memorial Hospital. He was taken from the hospital soon after that by helicopter to Methodist Hospital in San Antonio. He stayed in the hospital for 9 days and then they moved him to a rehab center for 12 days in Kerrville. He was in outpatient therapy for about a month after that. Then on Easter morning, April 16, 2017, Jason suffered a seizure and was transported to Hill Country Memorial Hospital again and airlifted soon after back to San Antonio. After a CT scan the doctors had found a mass in his brain. The neurosurgeon determined that he would need to do a biopsy to rule out a tumor. He was released from the hospital while they waited for the results. I’m happy to say that the mass was non-cancerous or a tumor. June 7th he had a follow-up MRI and found that the unknown tissue has become smaller so the neurosurgeon has determined that the tissue is left over from his hemorrhage on January 20th. He will be monitored regularly with MRI’s to make sure it doesn’t grow. With all the days at the hospital, all of the appointments/scans and medication, the bills are starting to pile up. The Holland family does not like asking for handouts and everyone has already done so much, but this has been a very tragic event in their lives.
