Jason and Grandma's Memorial Fund

On August 31, we lost Jason Racz. My brother and an amazing man. Jason's life came to an end only 5 days before his 33rd birthday and 10 days before he celebrated his 1st year anniversary with his bride and the love of his life.
Compounding this loss, our family, only 9 days later, gathered to grieve again with the passing of my grandmother, who's steadfastness and devotion played an integral part in keeping our family together. It gives me comfort knowing that Jason and grandma can be together again while we attempt to move on with our lives and settle into life without them.
Most days since are a struggle. Grief is still a heavy blanket. What makes the journey now so difficult is watching my mom try and move on from here. I'm reaching out to the community at GoFundMe to ask for your support on her behalf during this difficult time. Mom has worked incredibly hard as a single mother and small business owner to support her family throughout my lifetime. With the relentless demands of a small renovation company and the constant pressure to find the next job, she feels unable to take the time off she needs; to grieve and slowly put back the pieces of her life. With the funds raised, I would like to help alleviate some of this pressure she feels and help support her through this time.
An inspiration and our source of strength has been our focus on a foundation my mom and I are establishing in my brothers name. Jason was a Firefighter/Paramedic in Lethbridge, AB. He chose his profession because he wanted to give back and help people the way he'd been helped through his life. We believe that, although Jason is now gone, his life and legacy has much more to give. Additional donations raised above and beyond my mother's support will be given to The Jason Racz Foundation which will offer scholarships to students looking to get into the medical field.
