"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith."  2 Timothy 4:7

It is with deepest sorrow that we inform you of the death of our beloved friend Jasmine Kim, who passed away on August 27,  2021.          We are hoping to help support her family with the memorial funds.

Any and all gifts are deeply appreciated.

This was Jasmine's story just a few days ago as she was rushed to the hospital on August 22, 2021.

I know many of you reading this are friends, family, colleagues, and community members. Some of you may be, as I have been at times, simply someone interested in someone else's story and willing to take a little time to share it. This is my story now:

I am a woman in my forties and have a private law practice. I am a daughter, sister in Christ, valued friend, colleague and a lawyer. I am battling Stage IV breast cancer. I am strong, spunky, ambitious, compassionate, a fighter and much more.

In 2017, I found a lump in my left breast and quickly learned that I had stage 2 breast cancer. After being diagnosed with breast cancer, I also was battling lymphedema which is swelling due to build-up of lymph fluid in the body. I have undergone intravenous chemotherapy, hormone therapy and oral chemotherapy.

One of the most difficult aspects of the challenges before me is meeting the financial demands of treatment and recovery. I will be unable to work for an unknown number of months.

Medical insurance will cover only a portion of my care (labs & testing) and provides no coverage for care that falls outside of the purview of Western medicine. This is where I will need the most help and greatly appreciate any and all support you can offer.

Now I plead for financial assistance as my last Stage IV Breast Cancer progresses. The doctor told my prognosis that the cancer has spread to my organs. My current condition, I am unable to keep up with the bills (mortgage, expenses for groceries, utilities, internet, etc.) to take care of myself (medical bills or any pharmaceutical drugs needed), or any financial resources to take care of my mother.

A donation in any amount no matter how large or small is very impactful in the message of kindness, compassion & encouragement it sends.

I know the best medicine is to look forward to living. I am trying not to focus on the timeline the doctors gave me but to make beautiful memories with my loved ones.

My heartfelt gratitude goes out to all of you for your time, your thoughts, prayers and your support in the myriad ways you show and send it. You are all the best part of this latest chapter in my story.
