Jase's Journey ~ Bringing Jase Home

We are asking for your support in raising funds for a fun and adventurous 11 year old boy, Jase Armbruster, who recently suffered a severe spinal injury. Jase is a 5th grader from Lawrenceburg, IN and the only child to Stephanie and Jason Armbruster. He currently is at Cincinnati Children's Hospital in ICU.
All of you who know Jase have laughed about the fact that since he was a toddler, he’s been on the move looking for his next adventure. Whether he was fishing, bike riding, riding the biggest roller coasters, tearing through the neighborhood on his bike, wrestling his dad, chasing the dog, or any of his other favorite things to do—he was never sitting still. His love and passion for the sport of motor cross was quickly undeniable, as was his natural talent. Stephanie and Jason devoted all of their free time to allowing Jase to pursue his dream of competitive riding.
Unfortunately, Jase was involved in a serious motor cross injury on Saturday, September 16th. He was air cared to Cincinnati Children's Hospital and has undergone two major surgeries already. He suffered a shattered femur, broken arm and fractured vertebrae. He has a rod in his leg and back and pins in his arm. The rod in his back goes from T4-T10 vertebrae. The most devastating news that we have received is that he suffered severe damage to the spinal cord and is paralyzed from the waist down. Obviously this which has been a heartbreaking diagnosis for the entire family, especially Jase.
We don't know how long he will remain in the hospital but we need to start preparing to bring him home. We don't know exactly what this will look like but we do know there will be a lot of expense involved (wheelchair, bed, ramps, ongoing medical treatment, therapy, transportation vehicle, etc). So many have asked what they can do to help and right now donations would be appreciated.
We thank you so much for all of your thoughts, prayers, kind words and support so far in this journey. The racing community has been an amazing piece of the Armbruster family and they miss you already. Any amount of donation is greatly appreciated as this has been a life changing event that no one can prepare for mentally, physically, emotionally or financially.
