Stolen: A Backpack Loaded Up
Donation protected
Once upon a time, I owned a backpack. It was loaded up with not only things, but knick-knacks too.
Those were some of the most important knick-knacks in my life: my laptop, my external hard drive, and my school supplies.
On Tuesday, September 26th, I had just finished a plate of dynamite shrimp at The Cheesecake Factory and returned to my car when I found that the front passenger window had been smashed.
Upon further inspection, I realized my backpack was stolen, and along with it went my laptop, hard drive, and school supplies.
Thankfully nobody was hurt and they didn't take anything else, but now all of my schoolwork from the last 12 months as well as scripts, videos, photos, and business plans are gone. Becuase my main source of income is editing photos and video content, the loss of my laptop is devastating.
But while the burglars stole my property, they cannot steal my determination. There is only one thing we say at a time like this: Not today, Satan.
Like many college students, funds are tight at this point in the semester and midterms are coming up next week. Any help getting these items ASAP is much appreciated!
I need to replace:
Backpack ($50)
MacBook Pro ($1,500)
External Hard Drive ($100)
School Supplies
[books, planners, pens, notebooks] (150$)
Total: $ 1,800
Rocky Balboa said it best:
"You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain't how hard you hit; it's about how hard you can get hit, and keep moving forward."
One way or another I will keep moving forward, and I'm looking forward to graduating college in May.
Thank you for taking the time to check out the page. If you can't donate that's great, if you can that's even better!
