Jared Postance Memorial Fund

On March 9th, after a 2 ½ year battle with cancer, we lost our dear friend of 25 years, Jared Postance. Jared was a constant light in many lives, a beloved son, husband, father, teacher, and friend. He was a giving person, which was reflected not only in his chosen profession of Osteopathy, but also in his philanthropic activities, such as Habitat for Humanity. He was always a person we could turn to whenever we needed advice or a helping hand, no matter how busy he was.
Jared was a person who lived well and engaged fully in life: spending time with his family, traveling to many parts of the world, spending time with friends, and participating in many sports. Everything he did, he did well: varsity at Queen’s, national trainer of the year awards, personal trainer to the stars, represented Canada in Australian rules football International Cups, among others.
In some ways, Jared was serious and profound, especially in relation to his deeply held values, such as promoting health and wellness in others. In other ways, he was light hearted and always up for shenanigans; he left us with hundreds of funny stories and great memories to remember him by.
This page was created as a humble gesture in the spirit of giving back to the man’s family who gave so much to others. Jared leaves his wife Nancy and two young boys, Brady (age 4) and Beckett (age 2). In this difficult time, we hope that you will please consider donating any amount that you can towards this fund, which has as its aim to help support Jared’s family going forward.
