On the morning of January 15, 2018, we unexpectedly lost a loving wife, mother and friend to many people. Jann Leonard of Troy, NY passed away while watching her daughter perform at the Convention Center at the Egg in Albany, a day early of her birthday which was on the 16th. Jann was an employee at Questar III and worked at Red Mill School in East Greenbush. She was passionate about the work she did and she loved the children she got to work with.
A loving wife to Thomas F. Leonard of Troy, she has three surviving children Jessica [24], Victoria [20] and Rebecca [15]. She dedicated her life to caring for her oldest daughter, Jessica who has special needs. Her daughter Victoria is a sophomore at Syracuse University who is studying Music Industry. Rebecca is a sophomore at Troy High School who hopes to attend college to study dance. Jann was extremely involved in all of her children's lives and was very proud of their accomplishments. She worked extremely hard for her children and it was very important to her that they followed their dreams and attended college.
If you knew Jann personally, you know how much she cared about her children and how heartbreaking this loss must be for her family. This fund has been created in remembrance of Jann to help get her two youngest daughters through college and costs associated with taking care of the special needs of her oldest daughter, Jessica. Her family was unable to give her a birthday gift before she passed but I think this would be the greatest gift of all to her. Whatever amount is raised will go directly to Victoria and Rebecca's college funds. It would mean the world to Jann if the burden of college costs could be lessened for them.
