Janice's Moyamoya Fund

Donation protected
Back in June my little sister, Janice, had been getting migraines on a consistant basis. After talking her into going to see the doctor, they started putting her through test after test.  Since then she has been diagnosed with Moyamoya Syndrome. This was something we were not familiar with, and we started to do our research.  We have learned that the main two arteries connecting to her brain are blocked.  In addition to these arteries being blocked, Janice's results showed that she has had multiple mini strokes.  The doctor's have informed her that she is a high risk for a massive stroke and suggest that she not get stressed out.  Her being a single mom, scared and trying to make ends meet for her son Wyatt, the stress has started to pile upon her.  All she wants to do is be the best mother that she can and provide a nice and healthy life for the two of them.  The doctors have informed her that she will need to have two bypass brain surgeries to resolve this issue.  Currently she is not getting the proper blood flow, and is putting a strain on her body pulling from alternate areas.  The bypass surgeries will remove the mad vein in her head and insert it to give her the proper blood flow, which will reduce the chances of her having a massive stroke.  Her occipital nerve is inflamed in the back of her head, which causes her to be uncomfortable.  In addition to Janice having a constant migraine on a daily basis, she is very sensitive to loud noise and bright light.  Janice being exhausted and irritable tries to cope with her situation by continuing to go to work daily, being supportive to her family and friends, and maintain a positive attitude.  She continues to be monitored by her doctors, and reminded to relax with minimal stress. But if you know my sister , relax isnt in her vocabulary.   We, her family, concerned that Janice should get her surgery sooner then later, but she has asked we understand her request and give her 2 months to save money to be able to provide for her son and expenses.  October 4th she is  scheduled for her first surgery which will be at least a  a month recovery.  After the recover of the first surgery, Janice will immediatly start the process all over again for the left side.  My family and I know Janice is a strong women and wants the best for her and my nephew, Wyatt. The medical bills are adding up and the bigger ones yet to come.  She has been in the down and out mood because all this will begin around her favorite holidays, Halloween and Christmas.  We are putting this fund together to help relieve a little stress, and keep my sisters spirits high.  This has been a scary adventure for her, and its not even half way over.  Anything that you can do to help my sister through  this  time will be much appreciated.  Please pass this information on to friends and family.  We thank you in advance.
