Today a beautiful soul got her wings. Janet MacDonald passed away peacefully with her loving husband Eric by her side after a courageous battle against cancer.
Over the duration of her illness Janet unabashedly shared her journey with all of us in person and online. Through that she became a spokesperson for early detection and an advocate for natural health. She will forever be remembered as a beautiful soul with a twinkle in her eye, a free spirit, a talented artist and most importantly a loving mother to her two little boys Duncan & Camden.
Her loss is deeply felt by all of us. During this difficult time we want to surround her family with as much love and support as possible. In setting up a fund for her family we hope to ease their minds and have one less thing to worry about. The funds will go towards giving Janet the goodbye she deserves and to support her Eric, Duncan & Camden going forward.
Our hope is that through these funds raised her family will know how loved Janet was and how supported they are by all who knew her.
I am a longtime friend ofJanet's from high school in Summerland. As discussed with Eric I will be transferring all funds raised into his account as soon as they are accepted into mine. The money will go towards paying for funeral expenses and helping the boys get back on their feet as they take the time to grieve and prepare to move to Nova Scotia.
