My mom Janet Gould an 80 year old City of Chicago crossing guard was struck by a car on Monday 1/8/18 at 2:30 P.M. as she was performing her duties on Bryn Mawr and Clark where she has done so for over 30 years.
She currently is in St Francis hospital in Evanston, IL in the ICU recovering from head trauma, fractured ribs and a broken bone in her neck. The doctors say it can be a lengthy process of healing considering her age. She presently isn’t very responsive and when she comes out will need an undetermined amount of therapy.
My family would use the funds donated to help provide for my mother and fathers qualty of life and whatever expenses considering her lack of funds she doesn’t have coming in. My father is also a crossing guard in his 80’s.
The funds are needed immediately because of the gap in loss of funds. We are a family of prayer as we’ve seen god move mightily in our lives as well as others
and would welcome all the prayers offered for my mom,dad and family.
