We have set this page up for our lovely Mum Jane, who has been battling cancer for some time now and we are determined to do what we can to help her keep up her fight.
She was diagnosed with cancer around 3 years ago after months of suffering from stomach pains and being told by doctors that she had IBS. Knowing deep down that something was wrong, she pushed for further testing and discovered that she had bowel cancer.
She underwent surgery that as far as we were aware at the time was successful to remove the tumor on her bowel and no further treatment was needed, which was a great relief.
However, after a routine check up and scan a few months later that just happened to catch an image of a shadow on her lung, she found that the the cancer had in fact spread to her lungs and multiple tumors were discovered.
She has been having ongoing chemotherapy to treat the cancer, but a few weeks ago we received the devastating news that it has now spread to her brain. Our Mum is otherwise fit and healthy and lives an active lifestyle and so this news has been a massive shock for us all.
Being a Mum of seven, we have no idea how she has managed to break the news to us all and still stay as strong and positive as she has been over the last few weeks. We are extremely grateful for what the NHS have done up to this point and we don't want to discredit them in anyway, but she requires treatment that they are unable to offer and is only available outside of the UK and does not have the funds to support this.
As you may know there are alternative treatments available but they are very costly. There is a treatment plan that we think could work for her. This potential life saving treatment is going to cost in excess of £50,000. We never thought it would come to this but since we know there is a chance this could work we are asking for help as we think she needs access to this as soon as possible. We are refusing to give up and so is she.
Your generous donations will go directly towards this specialised treatment that she requires.
She is also on a strict diet and using a non-toxic supplement and medication protocol that costs around £1,500 per month.
Because of the rules and restrictions in place due COVID-19 we haven't even been able to get close to her and give her the cuddle that we know that she needs because we cannot risk passing anything on. Making the situation much harder for her as she cant have her family around her when she needs it the most.
We appreciate this is difficult time for everyone and so would be grateful for even the smallest donation.
