Janelle Logan-Sheedy. Family Support Cancer Fund

On behalf of the Logan and Sheedy family I am raising funds to provide some financial respite for my sister Janelle Logan-Sheedy and her family.
My name is Daniel Logan. I am from Curran’s Hill in Western Sydney where I am raising my young family.
Also living in Western Sydney (Penrith), my sister Janelle is a 41year old wife, mother and grandmother tradgically fighting metastatic (stage IV) pancreatic cancer and other health related issues.
These health issues have come on suddenly and the family are facing a very traumatic time.
On June 10 Janelle was admitted to hospital after it was discovered that she had blood clots in her leg that had travelled to her lungs. While in hospital further scans and tests were done and news followed that lesions on her liver and a mass on her pancreas confirmed that Janelle has pancreatic cancer. Together with her husband Shane, they decided to seek treatment so that she would have longer to be with their family and they chose to commence chemotherapy.
To aid this, Janelle needed a stent in her liver to open a blocked bile duct. This procedure was risky due to the blood thinning medication she was taking. Unfortunately these risks became reality and Janelle needed an urgent life saving operation and then she was taken into the Intensive Care ward and put under sedation. Due to these complications, chemotherapy was no longer an option. In this great time of sadness Shane has had to break this devastating news to their children and grandchildren.
Shane and their family now had to accept that following Janelle's recovery they may only have a very short time left with her once she came home. More devastating news followed; Janelle suffered a stroke leaving her left side paralysed. Shortly afterwards a clot in an artery in her leg was discovered; intervention to help this was unsuccessful and complications from this are yet another setback for their family to have Janelle home with them for the short time they were hoping for.
Janelle is a nurturer and carer by nature. She is a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. Together with her husband Shane they have 6 children and 6 grandchildren. Of these they have their two youngest children aged 14 and 10 years old plus three of their grandchildren aged 8, 7 and 6 years living at home dependant on them. Anyone who knows Janelle knows that she is also a great sister, auntie, cousin, and friend. She has a bright personality and lights up a room with her presence. She's LOUD with a most unique laugh, fun, loving and one of the most caring people you could meet with a heart of gold. Janelle is always ready to help anyone at anytime and now it is Janelle who is needing a little hand up.
I am hoping to gain support to provide Janelle’s family with some financial respite to allow her family spend precious time together without enduring financial strain. All donations will be withdrawn by Janelle’s husband Shane Sheedy who will now cease employment to become the full time carer of the 5 children that live with them. The funds received will go towards everyday expenses that their family are incurring such as medical expenses, transport, parking, meals, childcare, incoming bills and the inevitable funeral expenses to come.
Any donation is appreciated along with all hopes and prayers.
