Upgrade Jamia Almaarif Online Teaching Resources
Jamia Almaarif is an established charity based in London. Some of their work includes:
Children's Madrassa & Islamic Studies Classes.
Free Youth Club, Art Club, Language Classes & Mother and Baby Group.
Free Islamic education classes for men and women covering Quran Tafseer, Tajweed and Fiqh Sessions.
New muslims support.

When Jamia Almaarif closed more than one month ago, along with many other organisations across the country, their response to the COVID-19 crisis was above and beyond what would be expected from a small newly set up charity. Jamia Almaarif had set up all classes from the community centre online within the space of a week!
They offer daily sessions throughout the day on their live feeds giving a sense of community for the listeners and creating structure in the lives of families who are home bound due to lock-down. They have additionally established new classes catering for all age groups. The weekly madrassa has been kept online and their usual 3 days a week of islamic education which the children receive has been increased to 5 days a week at no additional cost!
There has been a fantastic response from children from all over the UK for ‘Jamia Almaarif Story time’ which runs after their daily Live Seerah Quizzes. This has been a fun way of engaging families to participate together whilst learning the blessed life of the Holy Prophet Muhammed ﷺ. The social media platforms of Jamia Almaarif have daily uploads of artwork from Jamia Almaarif students (and children who have been participating in the online classes) including calligraphy of comforting Quran verses in this time of need, and art-work in support of the NHS care workers.

The recent updates on the COVID-19 crisis indicate that face-face delivery in classrooms & communal gatherings may not be back to normal in the near future. Therefore I would like to raise the funds to help Jamia Almaarif continue to deliver and offer more classes for their students and the public. This would include an upgrade of their online teaching resources, recording facilities and development of a more sophisticated e-learning platform for their continued growing number of users.
