This gofundme is to help Jami Dubord with the expenses related to the treatment of her cancer.
Jami is a single mother to two teenagers, Oakley and Remi. She resides in Kindred, ND. This summer was supposed to be filled with Jami spending time watching her children playing softball and baseball but will instead be filled with trips back and forth to Rochester, MN to receive radiation and chemotherapy to treat her cancer- specifically, clear cell carcinoma.
Jami went in for her yearly pap smear when her test results came back with some concern. She was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer in May called clear cell carcinoma. It is a very rare and aggressive form of cancer. Jami and her family traveled to Mayo in Rochester, MN where she had her first exam and the following week underwent a radical hysterectomy. The cancer was in one ovary and her uterus. It was then she was told she had two different types of cancer, which is not typical. After spending a few days in the hospital following surgery, Jami is now home recovering. She will need to be home, recovering for the next 4-6 weeks. In the upcoming weeks, she will have to travel back to Rochester to start treatment. Bills are starting to pile up and travel expenses are adding up. Even with insurance, she will be left with a huge medical bill. Any kind of donation is greatly appreciated.
