Spinal Cord Injury: Help Our James

Donation protected
February 23, 2014 James Christopher Wright was involved in a traumatic single vehicle automobile accident that will forever change his life.  He suffered a broken neck and will live the remainder of his life as a quadriplegic.  This page is dedicated to help raise funds for James' rehabilitation and to enable his family to provide him the best health care and life possible.

James was born October 16, 1992.  His love of life has shown through even when he was diagnosed with juvenile diabetes at age 12.  James has never met a stranger.  His ability to see past peoples' flaws and shortcomings has left him with a large group of loving friends.

Following high school graduation in 2011, James worked at Dantes Down the Hatch in Atlanta, GA.  In 2013 James had the opportunity to travel the country working as a reset specialist for Pivatol.  James' supervisors brag about how great of an employee he was due to his strong work ethic and his ability to connect with his fellow employees.

On February 23rd James' mom and dad were due to return from a visit with James' older brother.  At the time of the accident, James was driving home from a friends house before heading to the airport to pick up his parents.

James' accident occured early in the morning just over a mile from home. Due to the rural nature of the area James was not discovered for several hours after the wreck.  He was found unconscious and when roused by paramedics he explained that he'd been in an accident, that his parents were out of the country, that he was pinned in, and that he could not feel his legs.  He was immediately life flighted to Atlanta Medical Center, where it was determined that he had two fractures in his upper neck and one fracture in his lower neck.  It has been determined that the accident was due to a diabetic episode.

James' family and friends are dedicated to providing him with the best care available.  We want most of all to send him to the Shepards Center in Atlanta following his surgery.  We are asking for help in supporting this goal.  With your support, James will without a doubt adjust to his new life and give back to our society.
