James's House Burnt Down

Last weekend our good friend James’s house burnt down. He’d been living there for a few weeks and was up the coast when it all happened. He came back down to Sydney with nothing but the clothes he was wearing and what he had in his car at the time.

This page is an opportunity for us to help our freind in his time of need. Any support will be much appreciated and I'm sure will be repaid with innumerable adventure stories, candlelit dinners and long strolls on the beach. “I don't know if this is meant to be the beginning of some character arc where I start an underground boxing ring and make volatile soap with my alter ego, but my house just burnt down along with everything I own. Never thought of myself as a possessions kinda guy, didn't bat an eyelid selling or giving away 9/10s of my stuff at the start of the year, condensing everything that brought me joy into a single conveniently flammable basket of eggs. 20,000 photos (all backed up, admittedly on three hard drives in the same room), countless notepads I was in the midst of turning into something more palatable, whatever knick knacks I deemed worthy of keeping, alla smoldering ash of now gone experiences. I skipped meals and ate mostly eggs to convert last years first two paychecks into my carbon boat made by a company that now no longer seems to exist.”
