Hello all,
As you may know, my nephew, James Patrican, is currently in critical condition. He is being treated at Burlington Hospital about 30 miles from where his family lives. Following a terrible seizure on September 28, all of his organs began to shut down. He has been sedated and on a breathing tube since his admission. He has also had kidney dialysis and bleeding in his lungs.
I am creating this page in hopes of helping his dad cover some of the costs of lost wages and commuting to and from Burlington every day to be with James. Most people who know my brother Jimmy, know him for the incredible work he does. Need a yard clean up? Appliance fixed? 400lb chest moved? The shirt off his back? He’s a call away and he’ll be there quicker than anybody else. He’s honest, caring and incredibly strong, but above all else, he is proud and he would never ask for help. Jimmy is self employed and puts as much as he can into working, but if he does not physically do the work there is nothing in place for him to receive supplemental income (he is not eligible for benefits such as vacation, sick leave, etc.)
I’m sure the majority of people reading this who know Jimmy will have their own story of how he has helped them with something personally . Now is the opportunity to repay him by helping him be able to take the time off that he needs to be with his son.
