On Christmas Eve, James Hanson was walking her dogs Indy and Jaws when she was senselessly taken from us by a hit-and-run driver. It's not enough to say that her absence leaves a void in our Brat House family. It’s more than that. Thinking about moving forward without her leaves all of us feeling hollow and cheated. James lit up our bar and lives in a way few others could.
In the days that have passed since losing her, we have experienced heartwarming generosity and kindness from every direction. It has become clear that the whole community is feeling the loss of James. Since the tragedy, we have been overwhelmed with phone calls and messages asking how to help. The proof that James was so important to so many people has been a moving and awe-inspiring thing to witness.
The outpouring from the community has led us to start this GoFundMe page for anyone that would like to donate.
