James & Emily Hurricane Relief Fund

Donation protected
This hurricane season has been historically catastrophic and has done damage to the US coast and the Islands leading up to Florida. My brother, James, and his girlfriend, Emily, are living in the US Virgin Islands and experienced Hurricane Irma's tremendous winds and category 5 weather that went along with it. After the storm hit, the Islands were in a devastating state and left many of the people on the Island without power and without essential resources. Luckily, for Emily and James, their home is made of solid concrete and came with storm shutters, so they only had some water damage but lost their main power source. At the moment, they are using a back-up generator for 2 to 3 months but are restricted to about 2 hours a day to heat up food, shower, electricity, and other necessities. Since their main source of income is from the work they do online, they are unable to work with the lack of internet and the spotty service. Money is already scarce but due to limited resources many of the businesses and stores are having to jack up the prices, resulting in a $5 can of soup compared to what usually is $1-$2.
The Islands are currently land-locked and everyone is pretty much out of work. Both James and Emily are doing everything they can to keep themselves afloat and are also volunteering around their community to help the people who have survived Hurricane Irma. They plan on using these funds to restore and revive their lives and the lives of their neighbors and friends surrounding them on the strip of US in the middle of the ocean. Any type of support or aid is and will be greatly appreciated!
