Give for Jairos Jiri!
The Jairos Jiri Southerton Children’s Centre in Harare, Zimbabwe, is home to over 200 children living with disabilities. Established in 1963, as part of the Jairos Jiri Association, the Centre has a long history of providing rehabilitation and educational services to physically-challenged primary and secondary school aged children. This Giving Tuesday, Higherlife Foundation, a dedicated partner in the Association’s work, is raising funds for the renovation and refurbishment of Jairos Jiri’s beloved dining hall.
The Dining Hall – a room where thousands of meals have been shared and memories made over the years – has fallen into disrepair with much of the furniture broken and unfit for use. Higherlife Foundation has begun the renovation journey by giving the walls a fresh coat of paint and tiling the kitchen, but now we need YOUR help to finish the job and furnish the dining hall! We need US $6,500 to fit the Southerton Centre Dining Hall with 26 new tables and benches.

Higherlife Foundation is a social impact organisation that invests in human capital to build thriving individuals, communities and sustainable livelihoods. Headquartered in Zimbabwe, the Foundation has a 20 year track record in advancing education and community development across Southern Africa. Over the years, the Foundation has supported the education of children from Jairos Jiri Southerton Children’s Centre through scholarships and provided assistive technologies and devices such as wheelchairs, hearing aids and walking braces to those in need. All funds raised through the “Give for Jairos Jiri” campaign will go directly to the Jairos Jiri Association.
